Airtours Holiday Company – a reputable and longstanding holiday company. For those of you who can remember the 70’s comedian Benny Hill, cast your mind back to ‘Benny Hill Tours’ a farcical insight to a travel company. This is Airtours. Two weeks ago I booked, with credit card, a weeks holiday for 6 in Orlando. We fly out on next Monday. After a week, we contacted them because the tickets had not arrived. ‘Who?’ they said. What do you mean ‘Who?’ They had no record of the holiday. After a number of phone calls I found that £2000 had been paid to Airtours by my credit card company. Still Airtours could not find the booking. Was my holiday safe ? Oh yes ???? 14 – yes 14 phone calls later we managed to track down the booking. Tickets duly arrived 4 days before the holiday. Guess what ? Wrong names on the tickets. I managed to get hold of the head manager in Manchester who admitted over the phone that we had been sadly let down. Let down is an under statement. The whole purpose of this holiday was to have a stress break. I have never been so stressed as over the last 2 weeks. They even admitted that their sales reps are part time and cause them all sorts of problems. You don’t say ? Thank god I used me credit card, otherwise there was no other means of proving that the holiday had been booked and paid for. I booked direct with the company hoping to cut out the middle man, i.e. holiday shops. It was the worst thing I could have done. Be careful when booking direct with this company. It could damage your health. Airtours ? Benny Hill Tours !!!!

Advantages: Staff try their best in a bad situation, its just a shame about the company they work for, and the flights are cheap (you get what you pay for) Disadvantages: Too many to list!
