I stayed at the Airways hotel before catching an early morning flight from Heathrow. Its proximity to the station makes it ideal for exactly this purpose with the Heathrow Express leaving during the day and most of the night. The room rate was also very reasonable (£35 booked in advance via reservations website). However the rooms are very small, it's noisy and old and the single room at the top of the house has the most disgusting bathroom I have ever seen, with damp climbing up the walls. It was also marginally smaller than a brrom cupboard. I would ask to inspect the room before paying, but would not discount it completely as it very close to Paddington. However the road is lined with hotels, so might be worth shopping around.

Quick review of Airways Hotel, London
Beware when paying your deposit, we stayed New Years eve and unknown to me they take the full amount from your card as a deposit not the 10% as stated. When you check in you have to pay again. I have since phoned the hotel for the return of my deposit and having received various promises i still do not have it. Breakfast consisted of Cornflakes and frozen milk and rooms are tiny. However they were clean and when they decide to pay my deposit back good value. ...

I booked with bridge on a couple of occasions, both times to Amsterdam. I had flights with Brithish Airways from London Gatwick both times, but you have a choice of regional airports and other airlines such as KLM and BMI. Their hotels range from basic 1* to luxury 5*. They also offer the option of having a chauffer driven limo picking you up from the destination airport and taking you direct to your hotel front door, and to take you back again. We took them up on this offer the second time around and it was pure luxury. We had a brand new Mercedes limo and it beat the train or bus hands down. Very comfortable and convenient. Both times I stayed in 3* accomodation in Central Amsterdam and the hotels were very good quality. As part of the holiday you have the opportunity to visit a Diamond factory free of charge, although we didn't take ...

Advantages: Perfectly comfortable, and good value. Service was friendly. Disadvantages: A perfectly adequate and comfortable hotel, although regular Hilton customers might see it as something of a "poor relation".
We've just returned from Aberdeen, having visited Amanda's grandparents, who have just celebrated their 60th Wedding anniversary; quite an achievement! On arrival at Aberdeen, we spent the first of our two nights at the Hilton Aberdeen Treetops hotel.
Arrival
It had been quite a journey. We arrived, late, from London Heathrow, flying British Airways. Our 'plane, scheduled to take off at 20:25, had finally departed Heathrow at 22:10 and we only narrowly missed being diverted to Glasgow and transferred to Aberdeen by coach, since Aberdeen airport closes at 23:30. With a 14-month old baby Josh in tow, this would not have been in the slightest bit funny.
We worried, without reason, as it happens, about whether our reservation would be held. As our taxi finally dropped us off at the hotel, just before midnight, our fears were put ...
