Advantages: None that I can think of. Disadvantages: Large Menu & too many "IS EVERYTHING OK"
...Sabastian's Taverna.
This taverna is located at the Top Of the street in Agios Gordios about 50 yards down from the Bus Stop.
It is set on a large terrace that looks down the street towards the Sea but no Sea View.
We only ate there once, please take this into account, but we also met more people who said the same rather than those who had gone back.
The first thing that struck me was that you were not automatically supplied with bread, very un-greek.
You could order "Bread & Butter" or Garlic Bread.
Our meal.
Starters:-
Galic mushrooms, which my wife was pleased with.
I had the Little Banana Peppers stuffed with spicy feta, very good, but felt the two requests "Is everthing OK" during the starters a little over the top.
Mains:-
The lady had SORIFTO, Corfu Speciality, Beef with a wine and garlic sauce, quite tasty...

...The Kebab House is an interesting restaurant whose name doesn't exactly conjure up the correct image. Its actually more like two restaurants in one. Upstairs is a reasonable smart area which can seat a large number of small parties but down stairs is a large room with pillars and arches and generally decorated like a typical Greektaverna. This area is used to cater for large parties and if you check when booking will also include live entertainment. This includes a live Greek band with traditional plate smashing and even a belly dancer. Definitely worth a look, you will not find more authentic Greek entertainment anywhere else on these shores.
The selection of food available is impressive and includes a selection of pre set banquets. The food itself is as close to the real thing as it gets. Included on the menu is a selection...

Advantages: beautiful island that makes for an enjoyable holiday Disadvantages: None
...the yachts come in and listening to the gentle waves lap against the shore. Although Fiskado doesn’t have a beach of the Myrtos standard there are places to swim and the sea is a gorgeous blue.
3. Dinner at the Taverna Sirtaki, Lassi. Usually when I think of a Greek night I break into a cold sweat at the thought of some club rep forcing to dance Zorba the Greek with a load of lobster coloured middle aged tourists who’ve had one to many Ouzos. However at the Taverna Sirtaki you get a completely different kind of Greek experience, one that is altogether more relaxing and doesn’t involve a hint of audience participation! One night a week a group of charming local old men armed with sirtakis play, sing and dance their way through a selection of classic Greek hits seemingly totally oblivious to those around them. All in all this makes...

Since I've reviewed virtually every Babylon 5 DVD release, I figured I may as well carry on going and aim for the clean sweep! So then, this time I'm reviewing the box set of three feature length Babylon 5 films. I must confess, I don't actually own this more
This is a nice, occasionally funny feel good movie. Set in Chicago Toula (Nia Vardalos) might just as well be living in Frumpsville USA. She is a dowdy 30-year-old working in her Greek families restaurant imaginatively named Dancing Zorba’s. Working as... more
