I decided to treat my mum and me to a short break to AbuDhabi last year and choose the Millennium Hotel to stay in. We managed to find a taxi easily enough at AbuDhabi airport and after a short drive (30mins) we arrived at the hotel. On first impressions I was a little disappointed. I had all these grand images in my head, but in reality the hotel seemed pretty standard.
The room itself was quite basic (considering the price we paid), but it was clean and the beds were very comfortable.
The hotel does have a nice swimming pool (although a little on the small side) and area for catching some sun.
Getting around AbuDhabi was fairly easy, taxi's are always available and very cheap.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel as a relaxing, pleasant and reasonably priced place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Dubai/AbuDhabi. There is nothing to do nearby so you need transport, however, they are building a new international airport at Al Jazira and a Palm development is under construction nearby, so in a year or so this should be in a more happening area. I've spent about 4years of my life living in the Beach Rotana Suites and it was amazing. Staff is always ready to help you, the rooms are always clean, it is very safe to leave all your personal belongings anywhere in the room reallty, as I've never heard of anyone being robbed out there.
Food is delicious, there are restaturants with various cuisines form all over the world, and the prices ae quite reasonable.
Even though the hotel is now neighbouring with some construction works, I am still going to choose it the next time I visit AbuDhabi.
There is also Zen Spa, offering you fantastic ways to relax, a playground for the children, and a creche. The fitness centre and swmming pools are also fantwastic.
After a day at the pool and the beach you can take a lift from the hotel straight to AbuDhabi Mall.
