Advantages: Very Economical, Great Service, Quality, Cleanly Disadvantages: None Practically speaking
...enough to relax your mind considerably.
A friendly staff: - The staff (mostly waitresses) here I think is the pride of this place, once I just commented how great this place was to the owner and I landed up with a free beer, for doing nothing, wasnt even a regular customer then.
Value for money: - The Value for this money this place has more than makes up for the lack of space. Its insanely cheap for the quality and variety.
Space: - This might be the only factor that goes against Tokyo Diner, it might not be very well spaced but its not uncomfortable at all.
Unless youre the negative 1 out of the 9/10 people youll be a regular at this place as soon as you try it!!...

Advantages: Close to the Royal Abert Hall, modern, bright, minimalist style Disadvantages: Too small, rooms lacking essentials, narrow staircase, unreliable lift
...to a restaurant. There are plenty nearby.
Apparently there is a bar, but I'm assuming this is the simply the diner/lounge. This also doubles as reception and is where breakfast is served. There is a flatscreen TV mounted on a wall here and large windows, making for a bright, airy environment. However, with limited space, I would imagine it gets very busy. As with the room itself, space was restricted and there weren't many seats.
The bar/diner - if not the whole hotel - cannot seriously be recommended if you are in a wheelchair or have a child in a buggy or pram. I just don't know how you'd manage. I wouldn't say it's a family-orientated hotel, anyway. In truth, the overall vibe seems to appeal more to young, trendy professionals or middle class couples.
I slept quite well, although it was very warm. Fortunately you could have the window open...

Advantages: Nights to remember forever Disadvantages: Nasty toilets
...is also served with quite good speed, I guess this is due to the pub being in London and aimed at the hour long lunch diner.
There are only two downfalls as I can see it with The Spread Eagle, the toilets and the music. There is no space for more than two in the toilets which are roughly the size of an under stairs cupboard, this often makes for a very uncomfortable situation. Also the toilets are located far apart, the ladies is in the basement, while the men's is on the first floor. The stairs to the basement have also been known to cause an accident or two with very narrow steps and intoxicated women.
When I last left The Spread Eagle in 2003 Eric Clapton Unplugged was playing, when I returned a month ago the same CD was still playing. As much as I enjoy Eric Clapton, a change of music would have been appreciated.
One final thing...
