Advantages:
The BEST buffet in town, location (opposite the Bellagio fountains), great views from the rooms which over look the strip, great shows take place on site .
Disadvantages:
Cold pools compared to heat (some may like this? ! )
This hotel is great. The staff are extremely friendly from the start and always there to help. I lost something at the hotel and the staff were all so helpful at trying to get it back for me. The food at the Spice Buffet was amazing. It was food from around the world and tasted fabulous. There was a huge selection of seafood which you would not normally expect from a buffet. Not surprising that it won best Vegas Buffet last year. We couldn;t eat anywhere else after we tried this buffet.. The breakfast buffet was good too, but if you only like one buffet a day then the dinner is a must. It cost around $23 each for dinner.
The casino itself is not the best in vegas as the odds we not as good as some of the hotels but still great for a little gamble here and there. It was however very large and there was plently to occupy ourselves and as the heat got unbareable somedays we spent the day in the Aladdin casino.
The pools are very cold compared to the heat outside, which some may like, but i found that i was constantly jumping from the sun bed to the pool to try and get out of the heat and or coldness. The pool is also the only one i found in Vegas that did not check Hotel client's keys on entry so anyone could use the pool, whereas most other hotels would not even allow you to look at their pools without showing a key. There were not as many sun beds as i would have expected for the size of the hotel and we had to lay away from the pool when we sunbathed and burnt our feet while running from our seats to the pool as the floor was so hot.
The location is amazing, it is right opposite the Bellagio fountains and right in the centre of the strip. We were upgraded and the room we had was very large and overlooked the strip. There were about 40 floors to the hotel and a north and south wing so getting lost at the hotel happened many times. Our room was on the 22nd floor and so the views were very good. It is worth asking for upgrades when you get there as the hotel is so large there are normally rooms avaliable. For the price you cannot go wrong. We paid £350 for 6 nights. There are other hotels which are cheaper but i would not recommend them as their location is such a long walk from anywhere else. I would not think of staying anywhere else on the strip.

As below really as I went with her to Vegas. I'ce stayed here and loved every minute. I didn't really understand your comment about the odds in the casino and you didn't mention the rooms at all apart from the view. We always stay in a Fountain room but giving some sort of comparison would be good. We always had our room keys checked when we went to the pool and always got a sun lounger. The pool was rather cold when we got there, but it would seem cold in comparison to the 120 degree heat in the sun.

Sorry for the rating but having stayed in this hotel twice in the last 6 months there is a whole lot more you can say about the place....The size of the rooms differ depending on what size you book, the number of restaurants avaliable, the different fre shows which happen each night, you didnt mention the shopping centre (called Dessert Passage) which is phenomenal, there are thousands of slot machines, card tables, two pools to choose from and loads more.... If you add any more information to your review let me know because I would be interested to read it... also the cost of the room would be helpful :o)
