Advantages: Great "Rivercenter Mall", Alamo, lots of other attractions Disadvantages: None!
...I visited SanAntonio in November 1997 when I stayed with my Uncle in Fort Worth, near Dallas. It was very enjoyable, we visited the Alamo, which is the site of a famous battle, which was very interesting. We also visited an amazing shopping mall with a river running right through the middle of it! You could go for a ride on a narrowboat through an area which many Americans dubbed "Little Venice", as it has lots of nivce restaurants and was lit up to stunning effect at night. This shopping centre had lots of great shops and an IMAX cinema, which we visited, and it was great!...

Advantages: Everything Disadvantages: You have to come home eventually
...I recently found myself in SanAntonio as part of a rugby tour along with 52 others. In terms of great people, big food, frozen margaritas and heat that puts Greece in the shade SanAntonio cannot be beaten.
Aswell as having the Alamo (which they've managed to turn into a glorious defeat), there are numerous bars and nightclubs (of which I can highly recommend the 3/4 story Polly Esters and The which featured a Chaz and Dave style piano duet). An afternoon can also be spent riding down a local river in tractor tubes, canoes or rafts. Tubes with cooler boxes are also available for storing copious amounts of beer.
If anyone from the SanAntonio, Austin and Fort Hood rugby clubs read this thanks for an experience of a lifetime - Rod (Old Pauline FC)...

Advantages: Great city, plenty to do, see and eat Disadvantages: Go in season
...Remember the Alamo?
Your not kidding, I couldn’t forget it. I walked past it at the same time every morning and night for a week - and a couple of times more for good measure.
Not that I should, or want, to paint SanAntonio in a bad picture - far from it, its my favourite North American city. Its just a week is perhaps a little too long off season. I will explain.
We decided to take our trip to the States (a week in SanAntonio for sightseeing and then a few days in Florida to top up the tan) for the first week in November. The reason - the flights are miles cheaper than October. The reason for this - most America's tourism seems to shut down on the night of October the 31st.
I would love for the sake of my hands and your eyes to make this a quick review but this just wouldn’t do SanAntonio justice - so lets crack...

Searching on the net I found various prices for us to stop for one night. more
