Traveling alone for the first time and redeeming Air Miles for the first time. I booked my flight and car as the same time. Unfortunately my car was booked as a compact instead of a mid-size. I said I would pay the difference. However when I returned the car I was charged $527.00 as well as 1,970 Air Miles were used?? I have since gone on several web sites including Alamo. and the maximum cost for a Full-size with extra insurance is $355.00. I have contacted Air Miles and they were told by Alamo the $527.00 extra charges were for an from a compact. I am feeling very dissappointed and ripped off. According to the information on the web site a mid-size would have cost me at the most $5.00/day extra but I had to pay $527.00 more??? Signed, Dissappointed and Ripped off!!
