Advantages: Very cheap Airlines With all expected facilities. Disadvantages:
Some of my friends are make allegations against PIA that it is not a good airline. Its toilets are so small and it's plane are not able to go on a long route like islamabad to united states. I do not think so and I did not agree with these persons. This is a matter of common sense that the same plans used by PIA are also in use world's leading airlines like Emerated Airlines and british airlines. If PIA's plans's toilet are too small. So why do not the passangers of these airlines make the same allegations against these airlines. I think some peaple are trying to mislead the peaple who are currently planning to travel with PIA. PIA is one of the largest airlines of south asia and it is becomming more popular and operational in recent times. the in plan services are also make good. The staff and airhostessses of PIA are serving their best ...
I lived & worked in Pakistan for the past year and had to fly PIA frequently. Here is what I found :-
1. Dirty cabins
2. Poor food
3. Late aircraft
4. High cancellations
5. High crash rate during the foggy winters on internal flights
6. Overbooking of seats
7. Toilets from hell
8. No alcohol on the flights
9. Smelly
10. Leave you sitting on tarmac with doors open for up to 1 hour in heat with no air conditioning
11. Duty free laughable
12. INcredibly bad customer services
13. Don't even try phonming any of their offices
14. Frequent flyer scheme that staff do not even know about.
On the plus side they are very cheap. I think the above reasons sum up why.
Of course internally one has very little choice. There are some other smaller airlines, but they are meant to be even worse. Internationally fly anyone else if you ...
Advantages: easy access to Pakistan Disadvantages: delays, inconsistencies, rude customer service
It is unfortunate that PIA is the primary airline to get to and from Pakistan. But I suppose this is why they continue to have such poor customer service: when you have a monopoly on the travel of over 200 million Pakistanis, you can do whatever you want and not have to answer to anyone.
My main gripes with PIA are the following:
- Rude customer service on the phone. Most of PIA's service people (particularly the females for some reason) don't understand that a "Thank You" or "Goodbye" are the proper way of ending a phone call in the service industry. A comprehensive training program should be established to teach these people some manners.
- The airline stewards and stewardesses are frequently uptight and have an attitude when asked for something, as if they were somehow forced into their jobs and would rather be doing something ...
