...alot of exploring in the town so theres not alot to say about it. However, there are a nice few bars close to the hotel but if you are wanting a good night out, its best to stick in the hotel. The great thing about the location of this hotel is that with the extreme heat theres a nice coastal breeze that cools you down. With the Aldemare Paradise Royal Village (Self-Catering apartments) dotted around the main building, its extremly busy during the summer. Since there is so many people, your bound to meet poeple your own age which is perfect for the kids, (We met our cousin). First Look As you enter the hotel there is a huge lounge with mayn comfy' seats (rather posh looking), which is right next to the 24/7 reception. Advantages: CAN'T THINK OF ONE
Disadvantages: To busy, spoilt by renovations and reconstruction

...I recently visited Crete (mid Oct.) and was excited by the prospect of visiting Knossos, the best known Palace of the Minoan civilization dating back to 19th century BC although the site was continually inhabited between 7000-3000 BC. I believe this is Crete's most visited tourist site. Boy was I disappointed. The site is indeed vast but the highlight of the day was a cold beer I had in a cafe nearby, so what does that tell you. First of all on arrival (by car) we were wondering where to park and there are quite a few places offering to park your car for a fee, but we decided to drive through the village, not easy with coaches taking up the width of the road and tourists intent on attempting to leap onto the bonnet of the car. Advantages: All inclusive
Disadvantages: Not so good air condition system

...I was in Lindos Royal Village (http://www.iberostar.com/EN/Rhodes-hotels/Iberostar-Lindos-Royal-Village3125.html) the last week of July 2007; I was there with the italian tour operator Liotti Viaggi (http://www.liottiviaggi.com/). I enjoyed the experience, particular mention to the gently staff, to the rich buffets with a large variety of international specialities, to the three swimming pools (1.80 cm, 1.45 cm and 30 cm high) and beautiful sea with pebbles beach. A bit disappointed for air condition system in my room, too old and not powerful enough to refresh as needed.
