Advantages: Makes for lighter work Disadvantages: None at all
I have had to give in and buy a pair of long handled edging shears, for as long as I can remember I have always knelt down to trim the edges of my lawn but lately I have found that the constant pressure on my knees and back means that I am taking more than my fair share of Ibuprofen which is not a good thing.
After scouring the local garden centres and hardware stores I then took a look at the prices on the Internet, Garden suppliers wanted just over £30 for the Wilkinson's Sword edging shears, a seller on eBay was asking just under £30 and good old Amazon was offering the edging shears for just £27.50 ? so no contest, the deal on the Amazon website won hands down.
The Wilkinson's Sword edging shears measure thirty nine inches from the tip of the handles to the bottom of the blades, this allows you to cut your lawn edging ...
Advantages: Many many functions, training centre info Disadvantages: Info overload, price, rubbish standard map
My other half is what you'd call a keen cyclist - he cycles about 25 miles a day commuting to work, and frequently goes on weekend training rides too. He's got a couple of cycle computers that show things like the time, distance, speed, and similar, but had been hankering after a Garmin cycle computer to replace them ever since he found out about them! The 305 does absolutely tons of different stuff, and to be honest to me seemed to measure more things than you could possibly ever want to know about your riding speed and style. Heart rate monitor ...
Advantages: Nice effort at a new concept Disadvantages: Riddled with bugs and flaws
Mirrors Edge is a fine game, Don't let me say it's not. But Mirrors Edge is a perfect example of a good game overcome with flaws.
The idea and plot are original and very compelling, the kind of plot that would make a good movie and gameplay that challenges the tide of mainstream mediocrity that is poured forth from Game manufacturers these days.
The first Person aspect Of the game is a welcome break; such games that allowed such ranges of movement include Assassins Creed, notably a third person experience. Mirrors edge made the brave attempt to put their game into first person to make the experience more personal, to put the player in the characters shoes.
However this bravery is not without its problems, occasionally you will be faced with a nice, free flowing movement area only to jump to a ledge and have to search for your next ...
