Alexander Inn, San Francisco

Advantages: A must see in San Francisco
Disadvantages: cold ...brrr

.... A walk on the bridge takes about an hour. It is a nice walk. There are walking pavements on both sides of the road. People like to jog, walk and bike along the bridge. The walkways are also easily accessible by wheelchairs. At both end of the bridge, there is a visitor centre selling souvenirs as well as washrooms and a small cafe. I felt so strange standing in the middle of the bridge. I could sense that I am so far away from both ends! In the middle, you could see the city of San Francisco in the distant. The white buildings on the steep slopes of San Francisco always reminds me of Greece, without the Sun. It is also worth driving acorss the bridge to Vista Point. Take the second exit called Alexander Avenue once you cross the bridge (away from San Francisco). Go left and go under the highway and go up the hill on the right. The road... Read review

...We have tried most of the options around San Francisco airport in over 10 years of traveling there, and have not been fully satisfied by any of them. So on a recent trip, we opted for the Holiday Inn in Burlingame, about 2 miles from the airport. My first thought was "Ho hum, Holiday Inn, the McDonalds of hotel chains." But the price was excellent ($59 booked through a travel website) and it included breakfast, so my second thought was, "I'll give it a go." I was planning to stay there after a tortuous trip that involved me flying from San Francisco to New York, then to Toronto, then back to San Francisco, only to fly the following morning to Houston and then on to London. Advantages: visiting Alcatraz
Disadvantages: expensive

...San Francisco is one of the most beautiful cities you will ever go and visit. Arriving at San Francisco International Airport, I woul suggest getiing the SamTrans buses which cost only $2 to the city centre. Due to the amount of tourists ther are loads of places to stay which are resonable. I stayed at the Globe Hostel around $17 per night. Places to see include; Union Square, chinatown, north beach and the famous Alcatraz which I recommend seeing. You can get a boat over to the prison from pier 41 for $9 which includes an audio tour for an hour inside.... Read review
