the hustle and bustle which is Paceville, with its many night clubs, discos, bars, cinema, bowling etc. whilst a further short stroll brings youto the sandy beach in St George's Bay. Alfonso is a comfortable hotel with a charming reception area, a welcoming T.V. lounge, which is tastefully furnished to produce a highly relaxing atmosphere and a popular restaurant called"Alfonso's" offering pizza and pasta dishes. The roof terrace has great city views, whilst the rooms are always kept clean.

Advantages: Location Disadvantages: Its some distance from sandy beaches, if you like your beaches....
...Being Maltese and therefore a regular visitor to the Islands, out of all the hotels of experienced, my stay was most pleasant at the Fortina.
The Fortina is an excellent hotel, in an excellent location. Situated in Sliema, its close in proximity to both the capital Valletta (a few minutes by ferry, or a short bus ride), and the popular nightlife orientated St.Julians area. Sliema itself is bustling with countless bars, restaurants and shops. The location makes everything you could possibly want to do easily accessible.
The hotel itself is clean, the rooms are spacious and the views from sea-view rooms are fantastic (the extra expense is worth it!). The staff are friendly and helpful, and the food was of a good standard.
The hotel has pools both at the back and front, the front one being salty and the back not, catering for both...

Advantages: Valletta...everything except the one disadvantage Disadvantages: can be very tiring and likely to get a headache
...Ok this is a review on Valletta and also on St. Julian's (St. Julians was requested by a fellow ciao'er)
Firstly St. Julian's. A densely built up area that is geared up for tourists. Honestly I would not recommend so much to stay there unless you are looking to be close to the centre of what is going on in Malta. Like most tourist areas, the food is not the best and also not the cheapest. There are some good restaurants and bars but they tend to be heavily crowded, especially in summer. It is also more expensive than other areas of Malta.
St. Julians in my opinion is not the best place to go as it may dampen your stay. However, if you only stay there just for your hotel and see it once or twice it should not matter that much. It is littered with entertainment, bars, nightlife, casinos, restaurants etc etc. I have not been...
