Advantages: Nice bottle of wine for £27 Disadvantages: Scary things
Until recently if you needed a Hotel location for those special meetings the Kandinsky was pretty much your only option in Cheltenham. This two star hotel sits in the prestigious Montpellier district of the town and occupies a most desirable location. The Kandinsky is part of the Alias group, whom also have hotels in Brighton and Exeter.
I had a business meeting in the hotels lounge/bar area and was rather eager to see inside one of the town's most prestigious hotels. As I marched into the reception area I was immediately taken back by the unusual aroma, what on earth was it? Was it some sort of incense, herbs perhaps; maybe something worse mothballs or damp, it was definitely an unusual but strangely familiar smell. The penny dropped after a bit the reason I was finding the smell difficult to identify was due to the fact that ...
Advantages: Fabulous views, decor, function room, disabled facilities Disadvantages: "Casual" staff, inconsistent drinks prices, cheap loo paper!
Just returned from a weekend at the Seattle hotel in Brighton and feel Ishould share my views thoughts and comments on my stay there.
Not only have I been I guest there but also attended a function in their function suite, performed there as an artist (at the function) and partaken in a few drinks in their residents bar, called the Black and White Bar.
Here are my thoughts on the hotel and its service.
Location.
Wonderful marina side location with terrific views of the boats in the harbour. It is easily accessible by car and has an adjacent car park where you can park for free if a resident (use level 6 if a hotel resident).
Surrounded by a variety of nightlife and restaurants, it is a great place to be in the evening. However it is about 2 miles from the town of Brighton itself.
Staff.
All very friendly and helpful, if ...
Advantages: I can't even put the amount of advantages on here. It's fun, sad, happy, funny, thrilling & more Disadvantages: It's EXTREMLY Addictive. I've been in the UK 4 Months and have addicted over 20 Brits to this show
Everyone has a "favourite" show. Yours might be a CSI one (Ew...that hurt me to even type "CSI", I hate that show that much....no offence to you mass amount of CSI fans out erhe) , or a Soap Opera like Coronation Street, or a fun guy show like "Top Gear", or a game show like Deal or no Deal (seriously though, how can a GAME show be your favourite show???).
No matter what your Television cup of tea is, a major percentage of you do love espionage, adventure, drama, romance, and action. Especially if they are all wrapped up in one neat little package. "ALIAS", is that package.
I started watching this show about 7 yrs ago when the 2nd season had started. It was on a whim one night while I sick at home flicking through channels mindlessly. I still remember the episode I first watched, which is odd since I hardly ever remember stuff ...
