I traveled on ANA from San Francisco to Tokyo Narita, roundtrip in September 2003. They use a brand new Boeing 777 aircraft, which is kept very clean. Even during the flight the aircraft is kept tidy, by the very young and beautiful Japanese cabin attendants. During the long 11 hour flight they kept themselves busy. They take care of their passengers so well that you will probably not need anything throughout the flight. However, if you do and you push the call button they will be at your seat within 15 seconds to ask you what you require. In the economy class, every seat has a seat back TV monitor, which you can watch a variety of movies or play a selection of Super NESNintendo games. Each economy seat has its own foot rest, which is quite nice. During taxi/take-off and landing they show you the view infront of the aircraft, with a camera that they have set up. Once the aircraft is airborne they show you the land or ocean as it is passing below the aircraft, which can be viewed throughout the entire flight. I would recommend All Nippon Airways - ANA, to anyone without hesitation.
