Summary;

A busy hotel, with large conferencing facilities as well and used daily by many businesses. Nights out are also catered for and they encourage smartly dressed to smart/casual passers by to come in for the food and the beer.
The leisure side is actually very good and there are a lot of clubs on the go, walking, running, pot holing!, football, palates etc etc.
The restaurant, bar and lounge are all spotless and the food is very good and very reasonable. The staff are courteous and again very friendly. The rooms are clean and fresh with average to good facilities.
Worth a visit and worth a stay if your passing.
Recommended.

Having decided over Christmas that I fancied a trip to Barcelona again I got onto the Ryanair website and started booking up. Having been to Barcelona a few years ago and staying well outside the main centre I decided that this time I wanted something quite central but also at a budget price. After all there was no way I could have afforded one of the posh 5 star hotels. So with those thoughts in mind I trawled all sorts of internet sites and ended up back on the hotel section of the Ryanair site. I had a couple of choices around the Station and dotted over the city but decided that Roma Reial fitted the bill better than any of the others.

refer to manufacturers manual if you have fan assisted oven. Right! Especially when it says next to fruit cake – time dependent on size. Doh!
I like fan oven for certain things, for others less. Puff pastry comes out superb! However, I find with my oven, that it cooks and browns things faster at the front left side for some reason.
Top oven is great for muffins and cup cakes! It grills pretty well as well, although I would prefer a bit bigger grill unit.
Christmas dinner was a success – roast potatoes with rosemary, beef Wellington (too pink for my in-laws, but it was just the way it was supposed to be) and all the rest of the trimmings.
I am a little bit bothered by the steam that is escaping from the sides of the oven. I feel that seals could be better.
