...FrankfurtamMain
I lived in Frankfurt for just over 2 years. Long enough to enable me to tell you a bit about!
Mainhattan and its skyscrapers
This is the unofficial name for Frankfurt in Hessen with its ca. 630.000 inhabitants. It obviously refers to Manhattan being famous for its skyscrapers. Just like Frankfurt. And the Main is one of Germanys biggest river crossing Frankfurt. That is how the name was created. Frankfurt belongs to the towns with the highest building in Europe which are all located in the area of the city centre. For example the "Messeturm" (trade fair tower) with its 259 m is the highest building in Europe. And you have a great view over the town standing on such a skyscraper when the sun goes down….

Advantages: Variety of pubs, shops & cafes Disadvantages: Lack of things to do
...Thinking of going to Frankfurt? If so, then don’t be put off by expensive hotels in the business sector or sleazy dives in the red light district. Advantages: Interesting city to visit Disadvantages: Rude people
...I was visiting Frankfurt during Easters. It was an interesting experience visiting German without knowing any German. We checked into a 4 star hotel but was surprised by the rude service offered at the receptionist. Imagine a 4 star hotel doing this and it is at Frankfurt! I really can't believe my eyes. The rest of the day was fine, we has an enjoyable time in the city. No incidents happen until when we try to check our luggage into the airport. We again ran into problems with the luggage controllers. They are not only rude but impolite as well. Hence, Frankfurt is not a good place to go....imagine all the rude services you will get! Places to visit in Frankfurt, there's a lot of skyscappers to make one feel like he/she is in USA. There's an old town which has very interesting pre war buildings. For better scenic views, try visit...
