Advantages: Location next door to the rich folks. Same scenery for less salary. Disadvantages: Rooms in need of modernisation.

The beach location is excellent, especially as it is right next door to Sandy Lane Bay, which you can walk across or swim off, disturbing the celebrities on "their" beach. It's on the west coast of Barbados which is well sheltered from the Atlantic winds.
... ...rather than relaxed caribbean, and attentive most of the time; but when they were busy we sometimes felt entirely forgotten. Food was pretty good with a reasonably wide choice. The price includes afternoon rum punch from the beach bar, but don't have too many in the heat of the day.
Our pool courtyard suite was a bit shabby and needed modernising, particularly the bathroom/shower, still a problem in 2007. c.£850pppw inc flights. ... more
