...-conditioning to the bedroom. The kitchen was very well equipment, although we only used it for breakfast Dishwasher, fridge, microwave, oven, toaster etc. The were a number of fire alarms whilst we were there (not caused by us!) mostly caused by toasters. There was also a washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities. The furnishings were a little tired but OK.
There are two pools (the outside one was closed as mentioned above) but there was also an indoor one. We used the indoor one once whilst it was raining, and it had a leaky roof. There are spa facilities on site, but we did not use them. The resort was not full whilst we were there (perhaps people knew about the building work). A lot of the apartments appeared to be in use by residents. Covered parking is available although we didn't need it - there is good public transport available. The rooms were...

Advantages: Great dive school and great sites to visit Disadvantages: Limassol is not the nicest area in Cyprus
...Prior to arriving in Limassol my husband and I starting trawling the net for diving schools in the Limassol area and after communicating by e-mail with several of them we decided to book up with Aloha Divers. They told us that when we arrived we could call them and they'd come and pick us up from our hotel but we managed to find them quite easily ourselves. We paid approximately 12 Cypriot Pounds per dive (we had our own kit) except for the 2 dives on the Zenobia which cost £C50 and included transport to Larnaca and a buffet lunch on the dive boat.
There are a good variety of dives off the Limassol coast. Most of them...

Advantages: Paradise, white sandy beaches, friendly locals Disadvantages: Hit and miss weather, humid evenings
...Apart from the weather sometimes being a bit dodgy this place is the
business. We stayed on the West Coast (GoldCoast) at the Tropical
Escape hotel. It was our honeymoon and we could not have chosen a better place. It is a three star hotel and fairly small with 50 rooms but with breathtaking decor, they got their ideas from a top hotel in Miami.
We were on all-inclusive so the food and drink flowed for at least
12 hours a day and we both put on a stone in weight in two weeks. It was a last minute deal and we had £450 off the brochure price each, but we must have drunk that much in cocktails alone. The food was good, but not comparable to a resort we stayed at in the Dominican Republic. (Another story)
The locals are really friendly and even the street sellers don't
hassle you. If you give them a polite 'no thanks' then they leave...
