...This is a great 4 star hotel in the centre of interlaken, close to all public transport including the 2 rail stations. Rail and bus travel is cheap in Switzerland.
It is close to the centre of interlaken and has amazing views of the Jungfrau.
It has a great restaurant and bar in the hotel as well as lovely gardens.
This is a family friendly hotel with good disabled facilities.
The staff offer excellent customer service and they speak french, english and german so helpful to all visitors.
The hotel is central to tourist attractions in the area including the Jungfrau where you have to get a train too as well as the area where there is edelweiss flowers close by.
The town has excellent facilities eg swimming.
I would recommend this hotel and a visit to Interlaken....

Advantages: Almost perfect Disadvantages: Almost none - ok maybe one: no lift
...I stayed here with my mom for 2 nights and we truly enjoyed our stay. Before booking, we did some research online and this hotel has been ranked first place on another review website so we thought this would be our best choice.
We paid CHF 130 per room per night and this rate includes breakfast. The hotel is run by Chris and Ursula and this couple is great ! They told us everything we needed to know about our stay in Interlaken and suggested us a few itineries to follow. The main highlight for our stay was the trip to Jungfraujoch and Chris told us it's best to go up via Grindelwald and down via Lauterbrunnen. He even gave us directions to restaurants and a tour route of Interlaken.
Location of hotel: Interlaken is a very small town and there are many hotels near the train station. There are two train stations in Interlaken...

Advantages: Central Disadvantages: Some poor architecture
...We took a great holiday in Switzerland two years ago. We flew to Zurich and hired a car, which we drove down to Interlaken.
Interlaken is not a large place, in fact its pretty small. It is quite picturesque, but has been spoiled by some pretty nasty 1960's architecture, which is a great shame.
We stayed in a very traditional chalet style family run hotel, which was very good.
Interlaken is really best used as a base from which to explore the surrounding countryside and, if you're up to it, to travel round most of the cities of the west half of Switzerland. Italy is pretty close, and worth a trip over the border too.
All in all, nice, shame its been a little spoilt....
