Alphubel, Saas-Fee

Advantages: CHEAP, friendly atmosphere, not forced to partake in the prayer/worship meetings
Disadvantages: Getting up early so as not to miss the bus to Saas Fee

...Oakhall is a travel tour operation that takes you to many tour destinations. They are based in the UK. They are Christian based and do have prayer and worship meetings on the tour. BUT you don't have to attend if you don't want to. They also do CHEAP holidays. which made us decide to travel with them. So a group of us, some Christian and others not so Christian went with Oakhall for a ski trip in Switzerland. Oakhall has their own tour buses but most oof wanted to fly and they did not seem to mind this. The hostel was based in Saas Grund. We either went to go ski at Saas Grund or Saas Fee nearby. There was a 3rd place if both places were shut down due to bad weather. Oakhall employed their own ski instructors and this made it even cheaper to be taught how to ski/snowboard whichever you prefered. The accomodation was based on Hostel... Read review

...Switzerland is the ultimate holiday destination in Europe for those who want to see stunning scenery, wildlife and experience a unique culture. Switzerland is a great place for visitors for many reasons. For me, the ultra-efficient transport system allows accessibility to anywhere in the country. Transfers to resort are by train rather than coach as the system is so reliable and efficient. Zurich and Geneva both have train stations in there airports and English speaking assistance is always available. I've visited Switzerland on three separate occassions - Lake Maggiore/Zermatt, Interlaken and Saas Fee. I've also visited a number of places in each region, made accessible by the trains. ...BE CAREFUL!!! IN 2007,I TRIED BOOKING THE SOUTH AFRICAN FLIGHTS ONLINE AND WAS SUCCESSFUL. I GAVE MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND GOT THE CONFIRMATION DETAILS. --YET, WHEN I SHOWED UP IN THE SOUTH AFRICAN AIRPORT, I WAS REFUSED. THEY SAID MY CREDIT CARD WAS FAULTY. IN THE END, I HAD TO BUY ANOTHER REPLACEMENT TICKETS. --AFTER ONLY I RECEIVED MY MONTHLY BANK STATEMENT, THEN I REALIZED THAT THE AIRLINE HAD CHARGED ME FOR THE FLIGHTS THAT I DID NOT EVEN FLY.IF MY CREDIT CARDS ARE FAULTY, HOW CAN THE AIRLINES CHARGED THE FEES ONTO MY CREDIT CARD??? --I HAD TRIED TO CONTACT THEIR REPRESENTATIVE OFFICES. 4 MONTHS HAD GONE, YET NOTHING IS DONE.
