...on numerous occassions. Locarno is a very upmarket lakeside resort with a funicular. It is not reccommended to travel to Zermat as we did, the journey was very long and the low cloud which contrasted the Italian sunshine made the journey pointless!
INTERLAKEN
Do NOT miss the annual Swiss Day celebrationson the 1st August in central Interlaken, after this day it is likely you will feel more passionate about Switzerland than your home country!

...Interlaken is home to breathtaking scenery, swiss army knives, cuckoo clocks and expensive prices.
Towering above the town is the marvellous Schynige Platte which is a plateau with brilliant nature and views to beyond.
