.... There’s also the Pier Showbar, which has been home to some of the town’s best nights out, if you like dance music. The different ‘nights’ tend to rotate on a weekly basis with monthly or fortnightly events, but things change oh so quickly in clubland so check local press for listings.
The beach runs west towards Poole, and along the way there are some really lovely spots, Alum Chine for example, which serve as their own little beaches. At each of these Chines there are parking areas and various activities: ice cream vendors, tennis courts, a pub, etc. It may be worth, if visiting in the height of summer, to seek out the Chines rather than relying on the main Bournemouth beach as they do tend to be quieter, and consequently cleaner.

Advantages: Not far to travel Disadvantages: It still in England
...resticted. Although there are beaches where the dogs are allowed on all through the year such as Durley Chine, but I still find I get filthy looks from the people sunbathing even although my dogs are allowed on there.
Bournemouth Gardens

Also running through the centre of Bournemouth is Bournemouth Gardens which is a long stretch of gardens that are beautifully kept. If you walk along the gardens they basically take you all the way into Poole and it a very scenic way to walk to Poole. The gardens end bang in the centre of Bournemouth and our new attraction is a hot air balloon. Now being scared of heights I have not been up in this but have heard it is fantastic and you can see the whole of Bournemouth from up there. I think it is quite pricey though at £15 per adult.

...BOURNEMOUTH, sea, sun, sand, shops, pubs, clubs, restaurants... what else do you need?
Many people right across the country have heard of bournemouth, but not for its infamous safe beaches or amount of pubs and clubs, but for the fact that it is renown for a tourist resorts, but not for the young.. for old age pensioners!!
What people fail to reliase is that bournemouth has the largest amount of pubs and clubs within one square mile (the town centre) than any other square mile in the country.
Bournemouth has miles and miles of beaches and is surrounded by towns such as poole, wimborne which are interesting to explore and look around....
