Advantages: Central, two nice palaces Disadvantages: Not a lot to do
...Smack bang in the middle of Stuttgart City Centre, you will find the Schlossplatz. In stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of the extremely busy main shopping street (KonigStrasse), this area much more relaxed with fountains and grassy areas in which to relax.
The name Schlossplatz translates at Palace Square and this is because the area is flanked by the two Palaces of Stuttgart. The Altes Schloss (Old Palace) sits on the right of the square with the Neus Schloss (New Palace) dominating one side of the square ahead of you.
The Altes Schloss was built in the 1330's and was a royal residence for much of the late 1500's. It was virtually destroyed during WWII but has been subsequently rebuilt to its former glory. Advantages: Friendly, cosmopolitan, easy to get to Disadvantages: Not cheap
...Munich is a great place to spend a few days or weeks. Apart from the world's biggest beerfestival which takes place every September it has a number of other attractions. Advantages: Great people free drinks al night Disadvantages: Some people can get a bit larey due to the free booze
...This club is for people in know and is not advertised despite being hugly popular. This has to be the best club in Munich by far with approx £10 entry and then free drinks for the whole night on a saturday and free drinks till 1am on Friday nights. This club has cult status in munich, and is on a former german airforce base. The club is a converted aircraft hanger and is nothing like you have seen before. The nearest tube is Alte Heide, and if you arrive at alte heide at around 11pm, there will be a bus waiting for you With Alabama written on the front. This is will take you directly to the alabamahalle. We went 3 weeks in a row and every time there was a bus waiting for us, the german have insured that as soon as a bus leaves another one turns up due to Alabamas popularity. This kind of service shows how efficient the germans are...
