Advantages everything
Disadvantages none
I visited Alton Towers back in mid October with my boyfriend and friends. We got a 2 days park ticket well worth it as there's so many rides and even though the weather wasn't the best it was soooo quiet and the longest we had to queue was about 15 minutes for Rita Queen of Speed.
One word of warning though, when you go into the park the staff offer you a video camera that you put on your wrist and it films you on some of the rides. The staff say its free for you to take it into the park but don't tell you it will cost £10 PER VIDEO if you want to buy it! It's a 20 minute video in total but only shows you on the ride for 2 minutes at the max! Deffo a waste of money!!! No wonder the man in the shop didn't let us watch the video in full before we bought it!
But apart from that Alton Towers is a great idea for a great day out whatever your age!
