I don't know where to start with this hotel. I have stayed here on 2 seperate occassions and both times were just perfect. My most recent stay was in August 07, and this was the hotel I choose to have my wedding. The hotel staff were just brilliant throughout the whole stay. They looked after me and the 20 other guests invited.
On arrival we were all offered a welcome drink and cold towels. When my partner and I checked we were told we had an upgrade to a suite. The room was amazing! It had a large living area and bedroom seperated by a large TV. The bathroom had a standalone bathtube and walk in shower. The room even had 2 toilets. The room also had a large balcony which looked straight onto the hotels private beach. The hotel has 2 restaurants, the main open air restaurant , serving various themed buffet dinners (seafood dinner is particuly good) and an Italian restaurant. The food is more expensive, but well worth it. There are 2 stunning pools, both of which are great to swim in. There is also a tour reservation desk, we booked a private speed boat trip to Phi Phi (an unmissable experience)
The location of the hotel could be a problem for people with mobility difficulties as it has a number of steps throughout the whole complex . Furthermore the hotel also stands at the end of a steep hill/ road. The lively town of Patong is approx 15-20 mins walk away, although as mentioned before there is a steep hill to walk up/down. Tuk Tuks are always available outside the hotel and can drop you off into town and costs between 100 - 150 baht. Here you will find a vast array of shops, restaurants, bars and the beach, which offers lots of water sports. The staff at the hotel were fantastic and went out of there way to make our stay unforgettable.
