This really is a special hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and versatility of this pricey little number on the south coast of Cyprus. I went on holiday with my parents. In the scheme of things my sister and I were completely out of place. Two mid twenty adults with their parents!! The other residents were either retired stockbrokers from the city who were enjoying a late summer holiday or young couples laying everything on the line for one perfect honeymoon. Brass bands, lavish shops and cups of tea were the preferences for the average hotel guest.
The Amathus prides itself on being among the top hotels in the world. I can only agree with this reputation whole-heartedly. I am a young man thirsty for activity, sport, good food and entertainment. In short the Amathus provided all of this. The hotel has two swimming pools, two floodlit tennis courts, a table tennis table, a pool table, a chess table, an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a Jacuzzi and a gym that provides for both the fitness freak and body builder. The wonderful thing is that all these activities come at no extra cost.
I could rave about the hotel as much as possible, but there simply wouldn’t be enough time or space. The most accurate description I could pass onto anyone who would like to enjoy a summer holiday at a decent hotel is Amathus Beach Hotel Limassol. Apart from the benefits I have described the weather is fantastic. There aren’t many places in the Mediterranean you can get sunburnt at the back end of September. The sea is lovely and warm.
