Advantages Central location, reasonable prices, all indoors
Disadvantages Needs some sprucing up

Amazonia World of Reptiles is a small zoo with exotic animals, as the name suggests mainly reptiles, located directly on Great Yarmouth’s promenade. This central location makes it easy accessible, public transport passes from here and the little tourist train that connects the northern part of the Promenade with its southern end stops not far away. Our first impressions of the zoo were not impressive at all. There was no outside area at all, the whole zoo seemed to be located in a tired looking one storey building, and seemed run down and in dire need of a good clean up and plenty of TLC. A ... more

Advantages Not your usual zoo, varietiy of different reptiles, animal encounters
Disadvantages Small, not particularly disabled/buggy friendly

If you are in Great Yarmouth and have a fascination with all things reptilian, then why not pay Amazonia World of Reptiles a visit. We were recently passing this small zoo as we made our way to the Sea Life Centre along the sea front just past the Britannia Pier on Marine Parade and decided to drop in for a visit. The entry fees are fairly reasonable, being £5.99 for adults, £4.99 for concessions (children 3-15, Seniors, disabled and carers), £18 for family tickets (2 adults + children) and under threes are free.
