a few minutes walk from Nana Sky train.
There is a huge variety of shops, restaurants and bars within walkin distance to choose from.
When venturing further afield, taxi drivers had no problems finding the hotel (its been there a long time), athough it is always good to carry a card with the hotel name and address in Thai, just in case!
The staff were very helpful, although a little busy at times. I checked a day early and only realised my mistake when I arrived at the airport. So rather embarrassed I headed back to the hotel and explained my mistake. The receptionist checked us back in with a big grin on her face!
This hotel does provide value for money and I think they are currently updating some of the rooms. Although I think with all the new hotels popping up the Ambassador will need to spend a lot to match them. ...
Advantages: lovely rooms, great restaurant Disadvantages: noisy road
I sent my parents to this hotel whilst in London seeing a show. The room was £185 for the night, it was a superior double room. Breakfast was included which they said was delicious. They ate in the hotel reataurant and again really enjoyed it. To people travelling to London i would recommend, however a couple of disadvantages are as follows 1) a room above the 2nd floor is a must as the hotel is on a very busy road. 2) if going to see a show in the west end then i would recommend using the tube as taxis were very expensive 3)the rooms are not that big so possible best for just one or two nights stay.
The room was very clean and had the added bonus of having a plasma screen on the wall!!!
all in all a nice treat and would book again for a couple on the town. ...
Advantages: Great Value, close to the CBD Disadvantages: Lacking in va va voom
on my first visit here in 2003, so because I was a little familiar with the area thought I'd try and get somewhere close to there. I came across the Perth Ambassador on the Checkin.com.au web site and it caught my eye because it was in my price range, my hotel allowance runs to $150.00 AUD a night or 40 to 80 GBP. This must have been up rated recently as while Ciao states this is a two star hotel it's actually now three and a half stars. It's recently been brought under new management which probably explains it. It's located on Adelaide terrace which is close to everywhere basically, with the main shopping area a 10 minute walk and the banks of the beautiful Swan River just 3 minutes away on foot, and I have a view of the river from my room which is lovely.
I opted for a Corporate Room, which was on special offer, costing $120 AUD ...
