The hotel itself is well appointed and the rooms we saw were clean and spacious. There was a substantial choice of breakfast options available all of good quality. This is also one of the best locations in the city being only a few minutes stroll from most attractions and amenities.
Our Booking was for a suite with a double bed however when we arrived we were shown to a room with 3 single beds in it. When I politely complained I was told by 2 members of staff that there was no double rooms available and that I had not in fact booked a double. Luckily I had kept the original booking form with me and could prove my reservation. At that point a double room mysteriously became available although it was of inferior quality to the room we were originally allocated, being smaller and lacking air conditioning. At no point did I receive an apology for the error.
Overall, while the staff were quietly efficient they seemed to take no pride in the quality of customer service they offered and sadly this lets down what has the potential to be one of the best hotels in the city.
