situated in Prague on the famous Wenceslas Square. All 162 rooms as well as the restaurants and conference rooms were renovated in 2004 in the massive reconstruction of the building. However, Hotel Ambassador - Zlatá husa lost none of its distinction and historical significance after these extensive innovations. Nowadays the hotel is fully equipped to suit all clients, whether for business clients or tourist in Prague. Luxury amenities include banqueting and conference facilities, the VIP Club Casino, the Goldfingers nightclub, the Ambassador Thai & Wellness Club, the Halali restaurant and a typical Czech pub-style restaurant Plzenska rychta.
short 5 minutes walk to Old Town Square. This hotel has been completely renovated offering comfortable rooms in a classic and traditionalstyle(mainly in beige and light brown colours with traditional furniture). The public areas are quite impressive with a large lobby bar/reception area, 2 restaurants, a nightclub and a casino all under one roof. Note that the hotel isofficially 5 star.

...I was on a city break to Prague and had a winderful time. The weather was great, the food outstanding, the people friendly, the hotel fantastic. While in Prague there is so much to do and see that you will undoubtedly run out of time. I used a whole day to visit Terezin and the Ghettos - humbly to a huge degree. The castle is beautiful and the surrounding buildings and churches are fabulous works of art. I crossed Charles Bridge and was fascinated by some of the sights. The lunch cruise was a bit of a disappointment and I would not do this again or recommend it. I found getting around Prague relatively easy - primarily due to the location of the hotel....

...Music, music, this is the only impression that is deeply stamped in my memory after my first visit to Prague a couple of years ago.
Prague is the city of music. Plenty of concerts, musicals and operas, huge or small, everyday everywhere. It seems like Prague will not be alive without music! It is the soul of Prague. i believe that many locals are well 'musically' educated as i find that many locals carry a musical instrument in their hands, especially violin.
Further more, the tickets are relatively cheap as compared to England and the performers are very profesional. I generously give thumb ups to all the concerts and operas that I have been to. This is what we want, isn't it? Especially for budget travellers like myself.
Besides, there are lots of music shops where you can find good quality musical instruments and scores. And I...

Advantages: When you spot it, you always know where you are!!!!!!! Disadvantages: none!!!
...On our sec ond day in Prague we went on a brief city tour and we were introduced to the stunning powder gate. It is just one of the many examples of the imposing but gorgeous Prague architecture. According to our tour guide (a set of headphones!!), it is called the powder gate becasue they used to store gun powder there in the olden days.
We found the powder gate almost an entrance to the old town and walked through it gazing up in awe regularly. Prague is a winding city adn it can be hard to get your bearings so we just looked up and when we saw the powder gate we knew where we were!!
It really is a medieval compass and a must see sight in Prague!!!...
