Galway

Advantages: Great atmostphere in bars & on the street, relaxed place, loads of pubs,
Disadvantages: Not a great deal to do

Unfortunately, we only spent 1 night in Galway but what a contrast to Dublin. Having been to Ireland over 10 times and spent most of it in Navan & Dublin, it was nice to go somewhere different. Getting There>>>>>>> Situated on the West Coast, Galway is about 3 hours drive from Dublin. It's meant to be 2.5 hours by train, but ours took 5 hours (not nice). If drivings not for you, then a coach goes from O'Connell Street every hour, costs 9 punts one way or 12 return and isn't too bad. This bus drops you in the heart of Galway, a short walk from the main square and near the train station. However, to get there, I'd recommend hiring a car for a few reasons. Firstly , the trains only run 6 times a day, aren't the best but quite cheap. Secondly, Galway isn't massive, so you'll run out of things to do, unless all you want to ...

Review of Galway City (Ireland)

Get ready, it's Amber!

Advantages: cute
Disadvantages: retired

When I was younger, I was a huge fan of the TY beanie collection. I spent all my pocket money on these soft little teddies and and animals, building up quite a collection ready to dominate my room. Between my friends and I, I think me probably had most that were out at the time! The teddies come in all forms. As I am a big cat lover, there is no surprise that I had quite a few of the cat teddies! One of these teddies was Amber the cat. Amber was a nice little size, sitting snug in my palm. In her bum you could feel the beans, and in the end of her paws too. Though her body was very soft, stuffed with a fluffy stuffing fluff. Amber was very cute. She was mainly a light brown colour., with darker brown stripes. She looked almost golden, like a magical little cub. Her paws were white, as was her nose, giving her a special look. Her ...

Amber Amber

Advantages: Easy drinking, unfussy
Disadvantages: Not very complex

creates hot spots which means there's a higher level of caramelization which increases the malty flavours of their beer. The brewery started life back in 1869 as Lorimar & Clark and was saved from oblivion it 1987 after a management buy-out. The brewery was all but destroyed in a major fire in 1995, but recovered sufficiently for the mega-brewer, Scottish & Newcastle to partially take-over in 2004 although they still retain a certain amount of independence. This year, they took over the Harviestoun Brewery. But all that's history. Talking of history, the beer I'm reviewing is called Double Amber. Or to give it its full name, Campbell, Hope & King Double Amber. Apparently, it's named "In celebration of Edinburgh's fine brewing heritage". Campbell, Hope & King was an Edinburgh brewery that disappeared in the 60s, like so many others ...
