About fourteen years ago I watched Hercules the Legendary Journeys and fell completely in love with Kevin Sorbo. Ten years later I switch the television on and see that he has a new television show that my house mates immediately turn over because they're too cool to watch sci-fi (even though I did catch them watching Star Trek once). That new television show was of course Andromeda and as I now have a lovefilm membership I can watch whatever I want! A couple of months ago I received the first DVD of Andromeda season 1 and I have to say that I was disappointed. It turns out that I'm not in love with Kevin Sorbo so much as Hercules. But I got over my initial disappointment (with some help from the extremely sexy Keith Hamilton Cobb) and found out that there is much more to this show than a very attractive cast.

The satellite crashes on the outskirts of a hick town, Pedemonte Utah, and is discovered by two teenagers who put it in the back of their van and take it into town.
Meanwhile the satellites owners turn up looking for it...........
They follow the satellite into town and there are dead bodies everywhere !!!

The Andromeda Strain.
This is a far movie than the original film with more explanation surrounding the question of the probe which crashes in the small town of Pedemonte Utah. In the original film it was never really properly explained.
We have found a tear in the fabric of space and recklessly sent in a probe to find out as much as we can about it.
When the probe returns it crashes into a small out of the way town and soon everybody is dead, well not quite everybody?
What has the probe brought back with it that can so easily and rapidly kill everyone human and animal alike?
The probe is brought to a secure underground research station in order to discover the secrets it hold but the virus is already loose and soon America and the world is under threat of extension.
Has the probe been sent back with death ...
