Angela's Ashes Walking Tour, Limerick

Advantages: Location to airport, landscaped gardens, quiet location
Disadvantages: Dirty rooms, very well used, small beds, expensive, remote

...OVERVIEW I just did a search on Ciao and noticed that there were no reviews for the Radisson SAS hotel in Co. Limerick in the Republic of Ireland and so I thought I would share my own personal experiences of the hotel in the hope that it will help others that are thinking of staying at the hotel, or at least help give a more informed opinion. When I booked to stay at the Radisson Co. Limerick in September 2007 it was advertised as a 4 star hotel on each of the websites that I looked at. I see that Ciao is now listing it as a 3 star hotel which has prompted me to write this. Advantages: Packed with Cricket Memorabilia, Cheap entrance fee
Disadvantages: none

...and nostalgic. You will be blown away by the shear number of interesting little nuggets that are hidden away within the museum. The museum is also open on matchdays to ticket holders only. All in all the Lord's Museum is a wonderful experience for anybody with an interest in cricket and I highly recommend that you visit it, and the ground. Personally I recommend that visitors also take the tour of Lord's as this enables them a tour of the famous Pavilion long room which is also packed with some fascinating artefacts and paintings. Lord's cricket ground is within easy walking distance of St Johns Wood, Marylebone, Edgware Road and Baker Street tube stations as well as having excellent bus links with the west end and oxford street. Advantages: this is a fantastic hotel
Disadvantages: small bedrooms

...we went to this hotel in the may 2005 and loved every minute of it.The rooms are little bunglows set in tiers up the hill, a bit basic for a 4/5 star hotel but with lovely views and quite comfortable. Food is excellent and the staff are really friendly and helpful. We loved the walk into town along the beach road and walked into Kardamena and back every night, but you can get a taxi for a couple of Euros if you don't want to walk. We had a great holiday & can't wait to go back, that's why we booked again for this year! the staff are excellent, cant fault them and kardamena is a bit too loud for us.... Read review
