Advantages: Fantastic Experience and a real eye opener. Amazing people.
Disadvantages: Can be very upsetting. Not for the faint hearted.

...Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie recently caused a stir when filming in an Indian city called Pune. Having been there on a number of occasions with work I thought I'd give you an insight into the place and the wonderful experiences it has to offer. I started travelling to Pune in 2005, when my company decided to undertake some of it's work out there - I should point out that we are one of the lucky companies that hasn't lost jobs in the UK as a result of this, but expanded into India. I now have a team working out there for me and make regular trips and so have come to know and love the place. Pune is in the Indian state of Maharashtra, the capital of which is Mumbai (formely Bombay). It is on the Western side of India (although not coastal) and is the 7th largest city in India. Advantages: fun, diverse range of attractions, excellent value for money.
Disadvantages: poor gift shop, a couple of tired looking exhibits.

...addition, but as close as I'm ever going to get to meeting Angelina Jolie! The museum has a small but elegantly decorated cinema, which shows various films at regular times throughout the day. We sat in there for twenty minutes, initially to take the weight off our feet. A film about MG's was playing and it wasn't long before I found myself quite interested by some of the footage. One thing of note was an old TV advert for a car (I think from the 1970's). It was tremendous fun drawing a parallel between car adverts then (which tell you the size of the engine and how many miles per gallon the car does) and car adverts now (which feature singing dogs). At what point did car adverts become so absurd? At what point was the conception of those strange puppets in the Vauxhall Corsa advert considered a marketable idea? A choice of escalator... Advantages: By London theatre prices, this is fairly cheap
Disadvantages: Sadly, that does not automatically mean good value

..., there was nothing in particular wrong with the acting, but frankly Burton and Taylor or Brad and Angelina could not have spun magic from this straw: It's just not very good. Good news? Well, by London theatre prices, it is fairly cheap (our tickets were about £35 each - and that is cheap by London standards where you often be charged £70 or more a seat). You can get tickets without waiting a whole year, you can probably plan to go and see it in 2025 if you want, there is no nudity, swearing or the like, you could take your mother in law and maiden aunty - but its really, really not worth it. Spend even less and go and see an amateur production somewhere - there is a fair chance, better than odds on I would say, that you will be more entertained and for less money. Or spend more and go and see a production of something you will be taking about... Read review
