Brazilian power metal may not be everyone?s cup of tea and hell, it?s certainly not mine? ordinarily. But 48 hours of non-stop looping have proved that, with careful weaning, it?s possible to leave your guilty past of gentler genres behind, for a day or two at least. I managed to develop a real soft spot for Angra, albeit deep down in my soft rock soul.
Despite comparisons to Iron Maiden, I caught the odd whiff of, among other things, Queen, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and some random Spanish guitarist probably named José. And after perhaps one too many listens I even began to fancy I could hear traces of Shakira in the brilliant and now hopelessly-stuck-in-my-head So Near So Far. Structure of the resort
In the morning it was easy to see that actually our monster of a resort was going to be easy to move around, the whole resort was made of a huge reception and main entrance, around 30 hotel buildings, a main restaurant, a man made stream and lake, two swimming pools which were huge a beach and beach bar and lots of greenery and things i have probably forgotten.
The Beach
We spent a few days of our holiday on the beach, it was a long stretch and full of sun beds and umbrellas. Luckily thanks to the time of year it was, even though the resort was very full of people, it was easy to find a quiet corner if we needed one.

Wii Sports Resort
One special day last year, I woke up unusually early - it was even still dark outside. I just couldn?t wait to get downstairs and go into the living room, but I couldn?t - not just yet anyway. It?s something we always do in my family, we must all go downstairs at the same time, together. Not every morning!
