Anguilla, my recent holiday

Advantages: Very small and quite quiet great carnival
Disadvantages: taxes are very hight there

Anguilla is one of the leeward islands of the west indies. Its neighbouring islands are St. Martin/ St Mareeten, St Bartholemey and Saba. Anguilla is part of th BWI (British West Indies). The hotels at Anguilla are stunning and beautiful i stayed at the luxiorious Cap Juluca. I got great service there. ...easy to get to from Anguilla by ferry which costs $10. Things at st martin are tax free so most things are at low prices. St Martin is great for shopping for jewelerry and clothes. Ok back to Anguilla. anguilla has 33 white sand and light blue water beaches and they are an experience not to miss out on. Shoal Bay was voted number 8 in the worlds top ten beaches last year and is stunning. In August is carnival week this is the best time to go to Anguilla ...

Anguilla for the Tourist

Advantages: Food ,local goods and beautiful scenery
Disadvantages: expensive to get there

Anguilla is a beautiful part of the world ,which boasts spectacular scenery. It is also reasonably priced,as it has been relatively untouched by the modern world.There are plenty of goods to buy,leather and local honey are amongst the best bargains. It is however expensive to travel there as internal flights are needed. Don't miss out on the local hand rolled cigars which are very cheap and I strongly suggest that you bring some home. Review of General: Anguilla

paradise island

Advantages: fun nightlife, very friendly locals,little crime
Disadvantages: everything is very spread out on the island

I'm in two minds about whether to write this review. I loved Anguilla so much - and loved the fact that it's so little known amongst western tourists- that I'm tempted to keep it to myself. But, I also want to share the experience - totally vital and exhilarating, with great nightlife (try Johnno's or Banky Banx's bar near Cuisinart as well as the bars down on Shoal Bay), yet at the same time completely laid-back, perfect for chilling, recharging ...
...Ernie's BBQ bar at Shoal Bay ($2 for red stripe/pina colada). Eating out can be expensive - unless you're happy to stick to a diet of barbecued ribs and chicken wings. One top tip to avoid having to pay extortionate beachbar prices for lunch (unless you eat at Ernie's -the central hub of the island with its continuous reggae soundtrack and fabulously relaxed vibe) is to go to the French bakery at Island Harbour to pick up very reasonably priced sandwiches, ...
