Grotto Bay -Beach Resort Review

Advantages: proximity to Airport, Hamilton & St.George's
Disadvantages: expensive

Grotto Bay in Bermuda is a cute little Beach Resort situated between St. George's and Hamilton (the capital of the country). It is locationed close to the International Airport in Bermuda. It provides nice and exotic holiday villas. Advantages of the resort is that it has a private beach, pool, hot-tub, bar, sailing, and caves - that the guests have access to. The pool-side is beautiful, and the bar has swim up access. The view is amazing, and the island of Bermuda is spectular itself. The public bus is convienant and stops at the resort, and it can take you anywhere on the entire island for approximately £1.25 per way. The service is good and friendly. The disadvantage to Grotto Bay and resorts in Bermuda is that they do not offer an 'all-inclusive' experience, therefore holidays can be expensive. Overall I would recommend Grotto Bay ...

Voyager Beach Resort

Advantages: friendly people, rooms, pools, public areas very well looked after, different themes everyday
Disadvantages: food variation... but what was out was tasty!

. Unfortunately as stunning as the beach was, it was filled with beach sellers everyday so no sunbeds or relaxing down there! The complex also had a group of monkeys running around which were so funny and were great fun to watch... just make sure you close your balcony door when you go out!!! Animation were very good, all different activites throughout the day although did leave you alone if you wernt interested. However if you take part you will get colored beads that you can swap in the gift shop, which is probably one of the cheapest hotels gift shops i have stayed in! Evening entertainment was not too great, even the caribbean do it better, they do try, but we gave up by the 3nd night and chilled out in the bar. Lily Beach Island Resort Maldives

Advantages: Medium Size, Pool, Good Staff, Trips, Beach
Disadvantages: Sea Wall, Rough Sand, Green/Green Decor

on the sand bank but you have to pay for these. There is a board in the main reception you put your name down on and just turn up. There maybe more on offer now as the Front of house manager was asking how could he improve the trips and evening entertainment as take up was not that good -Diving There is a very good dive centre on Lily Beach run by Ocean Pro who have loads of sites around the maldives Veligandu, velavaru, Merrufenfushi, Helengeli, Coco Palm and Lily Beach Although I didnt dive as I only passed my Padi OW and AOW in the june 2005. There were a team of divers from S.W.A.T out there possibly looking at the aftermath of the Tsunami. As always in the maldives, Nitrox is in at this resort. I can not comment on the dive sites as I did not dive but from reading book the South Ari Atoll is one of the best -Watersports There is ...
