Advantages: Food was OK Disadvantages: Prices were horrendous
...My partner and I visited London for a couple of days last year.
At the end of the first day of sightseeing we were heading back to our hotel near to Victoria Station and wondering where to eat out evening meal.
We saw the Angus Steakhouse and decided it looked good and we would give it a try.
The food was very good and the service was good too, but the prices !!!!
It was very expensive for what we actually got to eat and we were disappointed because of that. What visitors to this country must amke of these rip off prices I don't know....

...The Norton House Hotel is situated on the outskirts of Edinburgh about 2 miles away from the airport, and a 20 min (£8) cab ride into town. It has lovely grounds, which are great for walking or early morning jogs! The rooms in the main house are very spacious, with antique walnut furniture and subtly traditional furnishings. Bobbi Brown toiletries and fresh shortbread cookies and free sweeties, add to the charm. The restaurant serves excellent scottish food (the Aberdeen Angus sirloin is thoroughly recommended) but is pricey (£35 a head minimum). All this for a reasonable price £95 bed & breakfast....

...Aberdeen Angus steak House, Thai, Indian and some more exotic (which I can't remember).
Cost The normal cost is £150 per night (including breakfast), which I don't now how anyone can normally afford this price (corporate rate is around £75 / night which is still expensive for me). A room with a sea-view is at least £100 more. Suites cost a lot more.
The hotel itself is nice inside, with a lot of marble (or something similar), and has a lovely open staircase going from the ground floor to the top. The room I was in was on the fourth floor, overlooking a central area with air conditioning outlets - not really the best view in Brighton....
