...I hope you find these addresses useful when in Verona. For accomodation, the youth hostel is a good place, and it has recently been renovated. It is called "Villa Francescati" and is in Fontana del ferro 15. B&B will cost you around £8 per person per night. It is better to reserve in advance, the tel number is (59 03 60). There is a camping site just next to it. To eat, I recommend "Ostaria la canna ai cagoni" (Restaurant the cane by the shitters). Try the local speciality, "spadellato", a rich kind of pasta. This place is in Via Scrimiari 5. I do not have the addresses, but in the centre of town there were quite a few nice places where you can drink wine by the glass for as little as 80p. Soave is the local wine, and my English companion seemed to like it a lot!...

Advantages: Pool, friendly staff, value for money Disadvantages: Rooms a little out-dated
...We visited Italy for our family holiday (parents and two grown-up kids) and stayed at the Villa Maria in Sorrento for a long weekend on a friend's recommendation. It has 80 rooms and offers B&B and half board accomodation (we opted for the former as there are so many lovely restaurants in Sorrento to investigate in the evening).
Location: Its on the outskirts of central Sorrento, which means it is a short 5-10 minute walk to restaurants and the train station. Sorrento is itself in easy reach of sites such as Pompeii and Capri and Ischia although there is no beach at Sorrento itself (there are wooden pontoons which you can hire a sunbed on and swim off).
Ambience: We found the staff to be friendly and the rooms adequate and clean, though they could do with updating the decor. The pool area is nice to spend some time in the sun...

I bought this oven approximately 9 months ago and so far I've been very pleased with it. It's a very nice-looking appliance for a start (which helps) - it's controls are inconspicuous whilst still being easy enough to use.
