The service in Anon is honestly the most attentive I have ever experienced. When you book a table at Anon you have the table for the evening. You are never rushed and the whole experienced is relaxed and enjoyable. The restaurant itself is fairly small, accommodating around 7 or 8 tables. Each table has a candle which adds to the romantic atmosphere. The walls are decorated with numerous black and white pictures and smooth jazz or swing is played in the background. The tables have pristine white cloths with thick white napkins and contemporary cutlery. The whole setting of one of quality.
The menu changes on a weekly basis and includes dishes such as lightly grilled sea bass, escalope of veal and fillet steak to die for! The meal accompaniments are always inventive and boring veg is turned into some of the best I have tasted with herbs and marinades. They do an excellent crème brulee and a fantastic cheese board always providing extra crackers if you request them. The wine selection is also extensive and recommendations can be made by the waiter if necessary.

Reading back through what I have penned above, he restaurant may sound a bit posh or "stiff" but this is definitely not the case, it is welcoming and relaxed. The only thing that may push it into the posher league is the price of some of the dishes. The last time myself and my husband visited, we paid £90, although we each had 3 courses and a lovely bottle of wine!! They do offer an early bird menu which is 2 courses for around £14 or 3 for around £18 which is really good value!!
I would definitely recommend Anon to anyone who would like to go out to a lovely restaurant and treat themselves, I guarantee that you won't be disappointed!
