The ANTALYA is our little oasis in the centre of Nottingham.
It is located in Forman Street which is next to the Theatre Royal and The Concert Hall, also across the road is the Corner House which houses a Multi Screen Cinema.
There are many eating places in the area, but if you are looking for something different to PIZZA.s BURGERS Etc then enter

As you enter there is a Small Bar, and I am sure there will be a smiling face to Greet you.
There is a large dining area. We usually aim for the tables near the wall as it has Bench Seating against the wall which we find very comfortable.
There is also an upstairs area which includes a working Fountain, this area seems to be used as an overflow or for large parties.
The decor of the dining areas we find very pleasant, The ceilings are very ornate and colourful.
You are shown to your table with another cheerful greeting. Given your menus and an inquiry if you would like anything to drink.
We normally go for a Litre Carfe of House Red, an Italian Red wine which is quite acceptable. They have a reasonable wine list.
Water is alo ordered, none of your fancy pricey bottled water, just chilled Caref of tap water. No charge.
Then while you are looking through the menu. Complimentary Warm Turkish Bread and a small plate of Olives, Peppers and Julians of Carrott are supplied to nibble.
For the Full Menu you can check out the Restaurants Web Site.

They have a good selection of Cold and Hot Starters. All reasonably priced. Typical Turkish Fare, the Greek fans amongst you will find many dishes familiar but the name may be different.
I usually go for the Chefs Meze starter, a selection of 10 things. There will be beans, two or three dips such as Humas. Meat Ball, Cheese pie, cracked wheat etc.
At this point even more Turkish Warm Bread will be placed on the table.
Main courses again are typical Turkish Fare.
Kebabs of various kinds, lamb chicken etc.
Guvec, a kind of cassarol in eathernware dish.
Mousakka Veg or Meat (greek)
Pastas.

Even if you do not order sweet you are brought a nice plate of fresh fruit. Melon Grapes etc.
Then comes a complementary Licqure a small Mint/ Banana/Coffee flavoured the choice is yours.
Round this off with a Turkish Apple Tea or Coffee and the bill for two will be about £35-£40.
I think many of our restaurants could learn from the little complementary extras.
We always leave with a friendly handshake and smile.
If in the area give it a try.
They often have special nights when there will be Belly Dancing, needless to say these get booked up very fast.
