Antler Litestream Overnight/Cabin Roller-Case

...I recently purchased a vanity bag from Oasis (fashion shop) and have found it really strong, stylish and useful, with excellent organiser capabilities. The bag is part of the Oasis luggage collection designed by Antler. At £30 the bag seems about average price, but was definitely the most stylish and had the most features. It fits in with the ethos of Oasis as being individual and fashionable. It is black and curved at the front, and is soft-sided but with a reinforced front. It is travel-bag sized, with two main sections. Each section includes organiser features, including: * mobile phone pocket * 3 bottle straps (for storing shampoo, etc) * key holder * A4 sized inside pocket * pen holders * other storage pockets It also comes with a shoulder strap and a padlock. Advantages: Quick, great views, better than driving
Disadvantages: Little in flight service, little space on board

...there was a total of about seven or eight passengers including myself. The Embraer aircraft was painted blue and looked clean and well kept. I climbed the steps into the cabin (don't forget to duck as you go in). The first time there was a cheerful, smiling young lady welcoming us at the foot of the steps, the second time a chap in trousers and white V-neck jumper wandered forward from the back of the plane but didn't say a word. It was about five minutes before I realised that he was the steward! There is room for cabin baggage but not much. Laptop bags, suit carriers yes folded in half. But don't even think about taking on roller bags, there is nowhere to put them on these small airplanes. Disadvantages: None that I've discovered.

...Just got back from a quick overnight trip to Bali from Perth - got a great opportunity to reflect on the quality of service. I was flying in one of Garuda's DC-10's and it was a well-maintained and comfortable aircraft. The crew were very pleasant and dealt with all requests professionally. One passenger required medical attention during the flight (I suspect it was some type of anxiety attack) - the staff dealt with her quickly and quietly and she recovered with dignity. The cabin crew were courteous and eager to help with any request. I had requested vegetarian meals at the time of booking and these were provided without any fuss. I have flown a range of carriers in the past 10 years and Garuda gave me nothing to complain about. I would not hesitate to fly with them again and indeed I have booked a flight to Amsterdam later...
