My passion for browsing holiday brochures on cold dismal nights continued, the hubby fancied the Cyclades- a group of Greek Islands scattered across the Aegean sea of Greece - for a change from our usual choices of Crete, and Kos etc.- and as ever it was left to me to choose the appropriate dwelling for our two weeks.away. I decided on Naxos, only accessible by ferry via a chartered flight to Mykonos (if partaking in a package), the largest Island in the Cyclades.. The week before Christmas of 2004 I booked and paid a small deposit of £90 to Kosmar - a Greek holiday specialist in the UK - the balance of £600 was due the following June - plenty of time to save. Advantages: Located in Hardman St near to the University. Reasonable prices.
Disadvantages: Parking is difficult

...Hardman Street is the "Soho" of Liverpool,with clubs,bars and ethnic eateries and one of the best restaurants is Antoni's,a Greek Cypriot eatery. I have eaten there twice and on both occasions I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I love Greek food and this friendly,little,restaurant serves up good Greek food,at very reasonable prices. The decor is basically simple,this is very much a no frills sort of place,but woh! the cooking is good. My oven baked lamb was utterly delicious. The service here is friendly yet attentive and on my last visit there was a large group of Swedish mercantile marine people dining but I and my daughter were quickly attended to.There is a large Greek Cypriot community in and around Liverpool and the fact that Antoni's has a loyal clientele from that community,speaks volumes about the authenticity of the food. Advantages: Fun, less busy than other disney parks.
Disadvantages: Poor food at Pizza Planet

...Getting to the Studios is fairly easy. Motorists can reach Disney-MGM Studios via World Drive, often called "the main entrance" which is off of US192. It can also be reached via Epcot Drive off of I-4. The best method of transport is the Free disney resort bus's which can be picked up from your Any Disney world hotel, Downtown disney or the transport station. -----------THE PARK---------- Disney MGM Studios is my families 2nd Favourite Disneyworld Park. This park is not as large as the others but if you love movies its not to be missed. The park is about bringing the movies, TV, music, to life. Disney MGM studios is not just a themepark but is also a working studios. Approx two thirds is a closed off to the public but don't let this put you off there is still plenty of space for us.
