Advantages: Quiet, Friendly People, Gorgeous restaurants Disadvantages: not much to do in the day, can be quite boring
...I found both places to be fantastic for chilling out and relaxing but for the night life you have defiantely got to go to Correlejo. I wouldn't say it a place for 18 - 21 years old because I am 24 and was getting a little bored by the end of the two weeks. If you want to go somewhere to relax and look at beautiful surroundings go on the camel ride in Jandia. I don't like camels but the sights were fantastic. All the locals I met were friendly and made me feel welcome. I will definately be going back to Fueteventura, to either resort!!
For a fantastic meal I would recommend Poco Loco in Correlejo. It is a open grill restaurant and the food is fantastic, the staff are great and the atmosphere just sets the night off....

Advantages: Peace sunny island Disadvantages: None
...island and the airport is just south of the town.
I would personally recommend that you hire a car for at least part of your stay on the Island. This will enable you to explore the island. It takes about three hours to drive from the north of the island to the south Jandia with its 22-kilometre beach. Other places of interest to see while staying on the island are El Cotillo with its lagoon, which offer the safest bathing on the Island. La Oliva is also worth visiting and if you get the chance I would recommend that you visit is art gallery. Betancuria the historical old capital of the island is also worth visiting.
There are two other major resorts on Fuerteventura these are the man made resort of Caleta de Fuste which is located just south of the airport. The other major resort is at the south of the island....

Advantages: amazing landscape has to be seen to be believed Disadvantages: the public transport is a bit patchy in places but theres lots locally to take up interest
...riding as they and their masters pay people on the beach a visit.
the resort is safe, I saw no violence or aggression from anyone when I was staying there and the majority of people speak english which does help.
Corralejo in the north is worth going to as it has amazing sand dunes on the way from there from Calete de Fuste. They really have to be seen, I cant describe them properly here.Theres also a kite surfing school which looked great but I never got the chance to try.
I've noticed there are a few revies so far that say it is a windy place. Sorry to point out something but "Fuerteventura" in Spanish means strong winds! I didnt find the wind too bad at all, only on the more exposed points, near rocks at the coast for example.
There is also a resort down the south called Jandia. It's an average run of the mill tourist resort...

I am a self-confessed product junkie... and this is what self-confessed product junkies do - we go and spend £135 on a 60ml jar of facial moisturising crème. But as I am qualified as a beauty therapist you could say I'm doing this for the good of the... more
