...I go to Spain frequently, but I had never been to Minorca before. I imagined it to be a smaller version of Mallorca, but this proved not to be the case. Mallorca is not only bigger, but it is more urbanised, more developed, more commercial and has a greater diversity of scenery. Mallorca is much quieter, and whilst tourism may be its major industry, it impinges on the island much less brashly than in its larger neighbour.
We booked a last minute break with Citalia (The Real Spain) staying in a two bedroom villa with pool on the south coast. All the villas we've ever stayed in in Spain before have been in the middle of nowhere (which we like), so I was slightly worried that this one was next to a hotel, as I feared for disturbed nights. I was in a hotel called the Victoria Playa, with 250 rooms, it has many good features such as the meals and the pool. I would advise all families to stay here....

...Where is Shangri la?
I was always led to believe it was the perfect place to be.
Shangri la in India, (Nepal) or would it be Pennsylvania in the USA? Both have places named after it. So do a few others.
I have found mine and it is not in a place you would expect. Its in Minorca or Menorca however you want to spell or pronounce it.
For the purpose of this review I will refer to it as Minorca.
Minorca is part of a collection of islands called the Balearics. There are four islands, Minorca being the second largest. The well known Majorca being the largest and Ibiza, and Formentura making up the collection of four.
This island lies in the Western Mediterranean. To the east is Sardinia, to the North is Marseille, (France) to the west the Spanish mainland, and to the South lies Algiers. The island is almost exactly centrally equidistant...
