Apartamentos Palm Garden, Port d'Alcúdia

Advantages: Quiet resort, fantastic beaches, lovely old town with market
Disadvantages: High kerbs are difficult for those with pushchairs

...the rooms could have been bigger. Balcony offered lovely views towards the old town and the mountains. The pool area is large, with a sizeable childrens area. Childrens entertainment is provided right through the day and there are daily quizzes for the adults. Highlight for me was the daily waterpolo match. Food at the hotel was high quality and varied. Nightime in Alcudia is relaxed - very few noisy bars and safe to walk the streets. Our hotel provided a childrens disco followed by a quiz. Nearby bars had plenty spare seats. It was easy to get to sleep - not much noise from pubs and clubs. I'd imagine it gets noisier as you get nearer the port area. So I'd highly recommend Alcudia, especially if you have young children. Young couples without children might want to go somewhere a bit busier.... Read review

Advantages: Quite alot to do.
Disadvantages: If you stay in Pollenca there is nothing to do.

...I got back from Mallorca about two weeks ago, and its in my opinion not bad. I stayed in a villa with my family in Pollenca. Pollenca is not a very good place a tall and if your looking for some entertainment at night i would choose Pollenca. The place to go is either Porte de Alcudia, Alcudia or porte de Pollenca. This is if you stay around the Pollenca part of the island and not the other side where places of entertainment are in Magaloffe. But with there being Go-karting and water parks it isnt that bad. In my opinon staying in a hotel would be more exciteing. 4/5.... Read review

Advantages: very family orientated, but theres plenty clubs and pubs if you like the nightlife!
Disadvantages: none that i can think of theres something for everyone

...I've been to Alcudia about 5 times now, so its obvious I like the place! There's 3 areas of it which all run into each other and doesnt take long to get from one place to another. Playa de Muro, filled with hotels, pubs, restaurants etc. Alcudia itself, which again has things to do during the day, plenty shops and the Port of Alcudia which is lovely as its the oldest, more traditional part of the town. Alcudia is lovely, with plenty for kids and adults to do. There's the hydropark tehre, an outdoor water park with lots of slids. There's also plenty cafes, bars and resturants and some clubs as well. one of them is called Menta from what I remember was great!! The locals are all friendly and english is spoken everywhere. The local language is Mallorquin, which is a dialect of Spanish. Alcudia is set in the north east of Spain... Read review
