I really feel the need to write about this apartments/hotel we stayed in, in Fuerteventura.
After my last holiday in May I was raving constantly about the fabulous hotel (Group H10, See previous op!) we stayed in, in the Costa Dorada.
This holiday I must say we really weren't so fortunate.
General Impression given by the holiday brochure......
Well the broucher pictures really are what is there, the swimming pools and the 'typical' room shots generally aren't far out. The two storey apartments look reasonably attrative set around the swimming pool complex.
Rated as a three star plus by JMC you think the facilities are going to be fairly half decent. With activies such as darts, table tennis and cycle hire available if that isn't enough they also have organised activities such as waterpolo, basketball, keep fit ...
Advantages: Friendly town with lots to do, a lovely holiday. Disadvantages: If you steer clear of the 'English Bars' there are none

I'm afraid I was always a bit of a 'travel snob' regarding the Costa del Sol. I envisaged the types of scene in TV's Benadorm, a type of Blackpool with sun.
As members of a vacation club ( it was then Sunterra now Diamon Resorts) we had the opportunity for a weeks break for relatively few points at the Sahara Sunset in Benalmadea Costa, as we could get Easy Jet airfairs to Malaga for a very low price we decided to try it.
We have been three times more since then - so needless to say I was not disappointed.
Benalmadena is only 15 kilometers from Malaga Airport, car hire is easily obtainable but it is only 25 euros for a taxi from the airport and there are plenty of excursions and good public transport available in the resort. It is set on the Costa del Sol between ...

**Opinion **
In my opinion the Aparthotel Bahia is one of the best properties on the Island, not just for the accommodation itself but for its location and access to local amenities.
The Aparthotel is a very well presented 4* option situated approximately 1km from San Antonio town with its vast array of nightlife. Making this an ideal location to be in as you are close enough to the nightlife if you want it, yet far enough not to be affected by it if you fancy a relaxing night.
The main clientele at this hotel is made up of young people in the high season so can be rather rowdy at times. However in the low season it can be a little quieter and the pace is more relaxed.
