People who regularly read my travel reviews will surely know that I am not a package holiday type of person. I am, however, a cheap holiday type of person, willing to abandon my lofty principles for a good price. Forced to use or lose two days annual leave, I checked Easyjet Holidays for last minute deals to Malta and had a number of very inexpensive options to choose from. What was so remarkable was that the combined cost of three nights accommodation and flights was only very slightly more than the cost of flights only. Internet reviews painted most of the hotels as the sort of dump you wouldn?t house your worst enemy in but we took a chance with Aparthotel Strand 115 in the resort of Sliema which is directly across the water from the Maltese capital, Valletta (the water taxi docks nearby and gets you to Valletta in less than three ...
The Apart-hotel Paladim in Albufeira is possibly the best hotel i have been to! It is set nicely between the strip and the old town. The hotel is right next to a large supermarket which sells everything!
The old town is very pleasing to one's eye and is also lively! There is a good nightclub down in the old town which has a lovely bar area and seating area. Borra Borra Bull is one coctail to try!
Back to the apartments. The maid service was first class. New towels everyday apart from Sunday. The pool area was lovely as was the massage i recieved. The hotel staff were fantastic, the manager always talking to us and asking if everything was to our liking! He used to reccommend the nightclubs around Albufeira.
If you go to this hotel, you will not be dissapointed! ...
Advantages: Excellent location. Disadvantages: Not many.
**Opinion **
In my opinion the Aparthotel Bahia is one of the best properties on the Island, not just for the accommodation itself but for its location and access to local amenities.
The Aparthotel is a very well presented 4* option situated approximately 1km from San Antonio town with its vast array of nightlife. Making this an ideal location to be in as you are close enough to the nightlife if you want it, yet far enough not to be affected by it if you fancy a relaxing night.
The main clientele at this hotel is made up of young people in the high season so can be rather rowdy at times. However in the low season it can be a little quieter and the pace is more relaxed.
**Hotel**
The hotel is situated on a stretch of land between Es Pouet and San Antonio beaches. Most rooms offer excellent views ...
