Aparthotel Shusski, Encamp

Advantages: lovely weather, nice hotels, big pools, friendly staff
Disadvantages: a few coakroaches, but only a few... remember to take some bug spray..

...severe delays for all flights. We were due to fly out at 7PM, we flew out at 9.30PM in the end. It was a 3hr and 50 minute flight. After transfers we finally arrived at the aparthotel at 3:50AM, very tired. We were greeted on arrival by a nice polite english speaking man on reception. We were checked in very quickly, given our our AI bands and shown straight to our rooms. We asked the receptionist if there was a machine were we could purchase some water. He said as we were AI we could get water straight away and brought us two bottle's to our room. We had been allocated a ground floor 1 bedroom apartment with terrace opposite one of the large pools. The apartment consisted of a bedroom with 2 twin beds, bathroom with bath shower, kitchenette (2 cooking rings, microwave, cooking utensils and a fridge, kettle), satellite TV and a safety... Advantages: Set between beach and countryside,clean ,spacious apartment,good value
Disadvantages: Off the beaten track a bit, poor beach

...a separtate childrens paddling pool.Kids also have a playroom. There is a babysitting service available. If you need a crib etc you need to state this when booking this hotel. Apparently,talking to other guests there is a bit of a damp problem in the ground floor rooms,so watch out. We did not eat at the hotel at all so cannot really comment. The details are:- 1) A main restaurant on the first floor,buffet style with good views.Serves a variety of foods ie greek, international, vegetarian, childrens dishes with a choice of soft drinks,beers and wines. 2) Pool Bar ,various snacks and drinks served. 3)Main bar usual beers ,wines and spirits. Advantages: Brilliant pool
Disadvantages: Music played at the pool

...Myself and my better half stayed in this hotel a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were booked in on a self catering basis to the apartment area of the aparthotel. The apartments side of the aparthotel were only built a year or so before we stayed and as such I shall assume that all remains the same. The hotel is approximately 10-15 minutes beautiful stroll alongside the sea into the heart of Kos town. We arrived at approximately 4am after a 3.5 hour plane journey from Glasgow. Not being the best traveller at the time (I'm a thousand times worse now - simply wont get on a plane) all I wanted to do was get to bed (after unpacking of course, I'm still a female and like to organise my room).
